I arrived a little late this month and by the time I got there it was getting pretty hot and people beginning to clear out, so the lot was a bit sparce by the time I got there. Still got some neat shots and ran into a fellow Opponaut, Wowbagger the Infinity Prolonged, who also did me a favor and took a video of
Herr Quattro
doing some vocal warmups (thanks, man!):
I also nabbed a few shots for Instagram's weekend hashtag project, since this weekend is was 'Car Corners':

Opponauts in Greenville? Sweet! I'm thinking about taking a job down there over the winter. What should I know about the city?

How close it is to the BMW Zentrum and track. Thats important. Also how close you are to the Porsche Center in Atlanta, and the Tail of the Dragon.

Listed as one of the Top 10 Best Cities to Live In last year, for one, lol.
Lots of amazing food, a beautiful park near downtown, some wonderful driving roads in the mountains to the northwest. Traffic can be a bit of a pain in the ass in the city spawl, but overall it's a great place. Tons of gearheads and a great variety of cars. A little tip, though? If you're willing to have a 20 minute commute into town, housing prices outside the city limits are substantially more reasonable than within.

Wow. That's convincing. I've heard a bit of its acclaim though, and I am looking forward to making my first major move to a city like Greenville.
I've actually been looking at places outside the city, because I've noticed that a) I could get something with a garage for cheaper, and b) because I actually enjoy longer commutes (coming from Vermont, driving 35 minutes to get anywhere is absolutely great - it's a great time to think, and/or to enjoy whatever car I happen to be driving). It's all tentative right now as far as exact places, of course (I'd be heading down in January), but I've been gathering opinions. And so far I've only heard positive things about Greenville itself.
Thanks!

In that case, I'd recommend shopping for homes in either Tigerville, Travelers Rest or, if you like being in the mountains more, Marietta. Marietta is kind of a weird mashup of hillbillies, standard blue-collar folks, and older well-off types. But it's on the southern end of Hwy 276 and features some excellent driving roads pretty much anywhere you go.
Tigerville and T.R. are basically between Marietta and Greenville proper, if you would like something a bit closer.

I autocross the same place as this guy, never met him but his car seems to be well prepped for the track.
